Residents will be aware that Taylor Wimpey are planning to build 300 houses on Chipstead Golf Club. The CVPS, with the assistance of the CRA, are coordinating responses with the assistance of Harwood Savin.

So far Taylor Wimpey have not submitted a planning application. But have

1. Promoted such a development through the Reigate & Banstead Borough Council’s “Housing and Economic Land Availability Assessment”’ (“HELAA “) , and

2. Submitted a request to the Council for what is known as a ‘Screening Opinion’ under the “Environmental Impact Assessment ("EIA") Regulations”. This is a request for the Council to decide whether a full EIA would be required if, or when, an outline planning application is submitted in the future.
